auto fill empty cells as 'N/A' within a DOORS Traceability Matrix

Is there any way to generate a few lines of .dxl script code that would auto fill a blank cell in an excel ss for a Trace Matrix?  This Trace Matrix will be 26 cols wide by approx. 5500 lines long and many of the cells will be blank.  It would be a nice post processing timesaver if script code could autofill the blank fields with N/As.  Thanks

Hm, I see the following approaches

  1. adopt the script that exports the values to excel so that instead of an empty value, N/A is sent
  2. If your DXL script creates a .csv ifle: post-Process the csv file, perhaps by replacing all commas at the beginning of a line, all commas at the end of a line and all two consecutive commas that are not inside a string with the appropriate value containing N/A
  3. If you generate directly into Exel, you could afterwards open an OLE connection to this Excel application, get the current sheet, evaluate all rows and cells, determine if they are inside the range where an N/A needs to be sent and if they have no value, set the value N/A for these cells
  4. Or you write a VBA macro that does the latter inside Excel

i think the 3rd approach is the most complicated and will take the most time to implement. The first approach would be the most simple, but I don't know whether you have access to the DXL sources that create the sheet.
